Hydraulic Drum Anchor Plate Kit for Cast Axle Plates
Hardtails using genuine rigid frames, replica rigid frames, and replica axle plates were originally designed to use mechanical drums, so when using hydraulic drum brakes (1958-1972), many contractors welded anchor rod tabs to the axle plate to prevent the backing plate from rotating.
By using this part, you can use the early 1958-62 and late 1963-72 hydraulic drums on cast axle plates without welding tabs.
Not only the plate but also the dedicated spacer is included in the kit, so it can be used with a bolt-on.
(Please note that bolts and nuts for fixing are not included.)
When assembling, please apply a thread locking agent to all bolts and nuts.
The three included spacers are designed based on the dimensions of the V-tWIN axle plate + genuine drum brake combination, which is likely to be used frequently.
*Please note that in the case of backing plates from other manufacturers, or due to individual differences even within the same manufacturer,
some machining or shim adjustments may be required.
If changing from a mechanical drum to a hydraulic drum, additional work on other parts may be required.
Installation should be done at a specialist store.
*All components are steel and unpainted.
Colours are dyed black.
