Replica cable coil

In 1955, when the Panhead was changing from FL to FLH, a new cable wrap was added to Harley's optional parts.
The new products from 1955 were different from the fluffy type of the Knuckle era, and had a plate-like shape with a white center.
Cable coils (cable wraps) are a very easy and recommended item for dressing up drum cables and plug cords on vintage Harleys and custom vehicles, but the genuine Harley cable wraps at the time were already sold out, and even if they did come up on E-Bay, they were very expensive, costing over $200, so they are hard to find these days.
Even now, replicas of the plated type are sold by VTWIN and are available, but the two-color type with white in the middle that was sold by other genuine companies was almost impossible to get hold of.
I had been thinking for many years about how to somehow reproduce the cable wrap of the HD optional parts, and finally, through word of mouth, I was able to find a company that could produce it and finally managed to get it manufactured! !
First, I obtained a reproduction of the optional parts list from that time and started by determining the exact combination of product numbers and colors. For the actual production, I obtained scraps of the original black/white from that time, took the ratio of black and white colors, and produced the dimensions slightly larger so that they are easy to use with modern cable systems.
For this reissue, we are offering the black/white type (part number 91696-55) and the red/white type (part number 91694-55), both of which were available as genuine parts.
The ratio of the overall width to the white is also quite close to the genuine product,
so the result is very good.
It can be used for old drum cables, clutch cables, and plug cords,
as well as brake lines and plug cords on modern vehicles,
and can be easily wrapped around to add a retro feel.
It has been a long-time dream of mine to reissue this item,
and I hope it can be enjoyed by a wide range of people, from vintage Harley enthusiasts
to those who enjoy current Harleys.
